Freedom Festival and Steam Engine Show 2020

Please join us at our largest event of the year in celebration of our community! Many events will be taking place such as: car show, steam engine show, kid's tractor pulls, open museum, live bands, flea market, bake sale, silent auction and a lot of excellent food!

Join us in Downtown Tompkins to sing Christmas carols, then proceed to the museum for hot chocolate and enjoy delicious cookies. We will host our annual Christmas Tree Lighting to celebrate the Christmas season beginning. Everyone is welcome! This is our annual Veteran's Memorial Celebration. The tree is decorated with the names of Veterans from our area, or any Veterans whose names we are able to get. Please email to the website address any names that you would like to have on the tree. Veterans are either from current service or from any military situation.
Trunk-N-Treat is a great family event held every October with many fun activities planned. Bring your kids to trunk and treat and then join us for hot dogs, a bonfire, hayrides, and more!

Easter Egg Hunt

The 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt Sponsored by Tompkins 4-H takes place at the Tompkins Town Hall (9999 Tompkins Road). The event will start at 1pm and is for kids who are twelve years and younger. If you are looking for further information please contact Hannah Bregg at 517.962.9136

County Museum Day
Plant Sale/Pancake Breakfast

As a part of the Jackson County Museum day The Tompkins Historical Stewart Farm Museum will be offering a plant sale, tractor pulls, guided museum tours, blacksmith demonstrations, loom weaving presentations, and a step back in time at the one-room school house and 1836 log cabin. The Rives-Tompkins Fire Department will be hosting a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 8:00am to 11:30am across the street at the Tompkins Town Hall. Cost is by donation.

We are pleased to announce we will be hosting The Tompkins Freedom 5k Run/Walk in 2020!

Tractor Pulls 2019
Sponsored by the Leslie Tractor Club, a part of the TCHS
May-October 2019
Tractor Pulls will take place at Tompkins Center the second Saturday of the month, starting May through October, 2020.
Registration begins at 9:00 am and the pulls start at 10:00 am. Concession available.
Held at the Stewart Farm across from the Tompkins Town Hall, 9999 N. Tompkins Road., Rives Junction, MI 49277
